Ethno In Transit is a fantastic international world music big band with members coming from 7 countries. This summer will be really busy for them as they are playing throughout Europe at numerous festivals, including the gargantuan Sziget Festival in Budapest.

This week they will be making a stop in Lunz am See, the lovely market town in the south “Mostviertel” region of Austria. In collaboration with the More Ohr Less Festival, the Ethno In Transit band members will host no less than five workshops, topped up by a concert on the Lunz lakeside stage.

Ethno in Transit, a touring group of Ethno musicians, leaders and organizers will be at Ethno Histria in July 09 and afterwards head to Estonia (Vijlandi Folkmusic Festival) and Austria, followed by a Balkan tour!

10 Ethno musicians from 6 different countries take their show on the road in Estonia, performing 4 concerts and 5 workshops, hosted by the Estonian Traditional Music Center in Viljandi.

We hope to open a small window into the wonderful world of the Ethno music camps and the colourful musicians that inhabit them.

Although just a small snapshot of the 2010 Ethno experience, it will deliver a real feel for the spirit of Ethno that is so unique year after year.
