Ethno Palestine 2017
We’re so excited! We can’t wait to host the very first Ethno Palestine in 2017! The first one. EVER!
How did this happen, I hear you say! Well, in the summer of 2016 we brought 4 amazing Palestinian musicians to Glamsbjerg for Ethno Denmark. They had such a great time in Denmark that they wanted to relive the same experience in Palestine every year! So in April 2017, Music Harvest, alongside Musik og Ungdom in Denmark, will organise the very first Ethno Palestine
Dates: Ethno Palestine will take place between Friday April 7th and Sunday April 16th inclusive. Participants should plan to arrive by 4pm on Friday the 7th.
Ethno Palestine will coincide with the Nablus Cultural Festival which runs from April 5th to 20th. Our final performance will take place on Saturday April 15th at the Khan al Wakalah venue in the old city of Nablus as part of the Nablus Cultural Festival. We will also be visiting some local primary schools during the period too, to introduce our music to some younger ears!
What to Bring: All our partipants will be staying in dormitories in the city centre of Nablus. Mattresses will be provided, but you should bring your own towels and sleeping bags! Mosquito nets are not necessary but don’t forget your sun cream! It gets pretty hot in April.
Logistics: For more information on how to get to Nablus, read Music Harvest’s FAQ page.
Costs: Ethno Palestine will cost €250 per person. This covers your accommodation as well as three meals a day for the duration of your stay.
